Title:Explore the future of Chinese Medicine and development of related biotechnology industry

Chinese Medicine is becoming more popular in Europe and America, it is estimated to be growing at the rate of 10% annually. As one of the origin of Chinese Medicine, many related industries in Taiwan have started Research & Development (R&D) in Chinese Medicine. In order to make Taiwan an island with industries advanced in production of Chinese Medicine, it is apparent for the authority to understand the difficulties and challenges facing the private sectors.
CCMP is interested to find out about the growing, making, production and marketing of Chinese Medicine in Taiwan, and the current status of R&D in the related industries. Therefore CCMP has organized field trips that are scheduled on the 09/06, 09/17, 10/29 and 10/30. These field trips are aim to explore the island fully, started from the Eastern part, to the North and then down to the central and southern cities of Taiwan. CCMP has gather experts from various fields that include the academician from the Academic Sinica, biotechnologist, Committee members and representatives of the CCMP. Private sectors will be able to held seminars and discuss issues with these experts and CCMP representatives.
Scheduled visits include various pharmaceutical companies, bee farm, orchid farm and herbal farms. CCMP hope to achieve better understanding of this fast growing Chinese Herbal Medicine industry and its R&D in Taiwan. With the help of professional advice and ideas, we can generate creative ideas to benefit the future development of Chinese Medicine in Taiwan.
